Frequently Asked Questions

  • Nukumea Primary will officially open on February 7th, Term 1, 2023. We will be in temporary buildings (on site) for the first two terms. We expect to be moving into our permanent build in Term 3, 2023.

  • Years 0-6. Tamariki will then move onto Orewa College.

  • Steve Mouldey has been appointed as Foundation Principal.

  • Michelle Nell is the Presiding Member (Board Chair).

  • Yes. You will need to be living in the school zone to enrol your child at the school. Details of this can be found here

  • Please follow the instructions here to enrol your child. You will also need to send the relevant documents to: office@nukumea.school.nz We are not currently accepting out of zone enrolments.

  • We will be hosting a number of community events through Terms 3 and 4 in 2022. These will take place at a venue in Orewa and advertised on both the school calendar and school Facebook page. We will also be running a series of these events at the school when we officially open in 2023.

    Once you enrol your child, we will be in contact to arrange a time to meet up. Our aim is to meet with all new foundation students and their whānau at Nukumea before they officially start.

  • There will be a sports uniform that tamariki will be required to wear when representing Nukumea Primary (ie. at inter school events). While at school, students can choose to wear this uniform as well, but it is not mandatory.
