Vision, Values, & Annual Plan
Whakataukī/Vision Statement:
Poipoia te kākano, kia puāwai - nurture the seed and it will flourish
The school was first announced by the Government of the day in the 2018 Budget and it was originally scheduled to open in February 2021. Delays in land purchase and consent requirements have resulted in the school now being set to open in February 2023. The Ministry of Education has projected a roll of 158 in the first year growing to 298 in 2024. Stage One construction is for 18 teaching spaces to accommodate up to 420 students and the Ministry projects the future roll to be in excess of 600. The initial build will include the full infrastructure including hall, library, and resource area.
The Establishment Board has undertaken extensive mahi on the vision and values of our school, both through the Board and through consultation with the local community, and with mana whenua iwi, Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara.

Kaitiakitanga is reciprocal; we care for the land and water and the environment cares for us. Our learners are the champions of Nukumea Stream and beyond.
Manaakitanga
We acknowledge and protect the mana of all in our community. By acting with kindness, being respectful and serving others we nourish and empower each other.
Whakapuāwai
All learners are individuals and will flourish in unique ways. Our learners are excited about their learning and able to make a positive impact on the future.
